Ralf is a state-certified ski instructor and an A-level coach with the German Ski Association (DSV). He spent around 20 years as a member of the instructor team of the German Ski Instructors Association (DSLV). Today, he is deeply involved in coaching young Alpine skiers in the Black Forest. As the head of Schneesportschule Schauinsland, Ralf is responsible for the training and continuing education of our teaching staff. Before his career as a ski instructor and coach, Ralf competed in numerous international FIS races and achieved several podium finishes.

Georg Rees
Georg is the founder of Schneesportschule Schauinsland and also a state-certified ski instructor. He is considered a legend of skiing in the Black Forest and has taught countless people of all ages to ski—whether cross-country or alpine. Born and raised in Hofsgrund, skiing has always been a natural part of his life. As a child, the Black Forest native even skied to school. Later, he spent four years in the German Armed Forces’ athletic support program and took part in several international and national championships in cross-country skiing and biathlon. After his time as an active racer, he passed the state ski instructor certification and founded Schneesportschule Schauinsland in 1979, which was originally named Skischule Schauinsland.
